Lace Ribbon Scarf

pattern: Lace Ribbon Scarf by Veronik Avery from Knitty, Spring 2008
yarn: Wollmeise 80/20 Twin in Rittersporn, 1 skein (about 150g)
needles: 3,75mm Addi lace circs



comments: Nice and easy. I didn't change anything in the pattern, but can't remember how many repeats I worked. I used up all of the 150g Wollmeise skein. After blocking the scarf measures about 25cm x 200cm.

kommentit: Helppo ja joutuisa mallineule. Tein huivin ihan ohjeen mukaan, en muista montako mallikertaa, neuloin koko 150g:n vyyhdin loppuun. Pingotuksen jälkeen huivin mitoiksi tuli noin 25cm x 200cm.

Trekking leftovers socks

pattern: - (72sts)
yarn: Trekking XXL leftovers in two colours, total of 65 g.
needles: 2mm addi dpns

(I really should have continued the striping in the heel and toe...)

Olisi pitänyt jatkaa raidoitusta myös kantapäässä ja kärjissä...



New yarn! New fabric!



This yarn (Wollmeise Twin in Rittersporn) was going to be a lighter version of Clapotis... but when the I saw the Lace Ribbon Scarf pattern in the new Knitty I changed plans. And casted on imediately.

Tästä langasta (Wollmeisen Twin, väri Rittersporn) oli aikomus tulla kevyempi Clapotis, mutta kun näin Lace Ribbon Scarf-huivin ohjeen uudessa Knittyssa, suunnitelmat muuttuivat. Ja aloitinkin saman tien.

This is from Handpaintedyarn.com. The dk weight yarn has EXACTLY the same yardage than Berroco Ultra Alpaca Light. I have three 100g skeins of the purple one and it will be Anais. Soon. And yes - that yellow really is that bright!

Yllä olevat värikkäät langat ovat Handpaintedyarn.comin dk-vahvuista lankaa. Sen pitäisi olla melkein tismalleen Berroco Ultra Alpaca Lightia vastaavaa. Purppuranpunaista on 300 grammaa ja siitä tulee Anais. Piakkoin. Ja tuo keltainen todellakin on juuri noin kirkasta kuin miltä se kuvassa näyttää!

NOROtrekking

As a busy sock knitter, I end up with quite a lot of leftover socks yarn. I'm determined to find a use for them. My first idea was to use two different colours of Trekking XXL. The effect is almos NOROesque!

Ahkerana sukkien neulojana minulla on aikamoinen kasa jämäkeriä sukkalankoja. Olen päättänyt keksiä niille käyttöä! Ensimmäinenä testaan kahden eri Trekking XXL-langan yhdistämistä. Melkein NOROmainen raidoitus!
