I haven't been this excited about a pattern book in a long time. (Yes I'm talking about "Knitting Socks With Handpainted Yarn") There are plenty of patterns in the book I want to knit right now, but I decided to start with the one on the cover, Jody Pirrello's Chevvy, as I had a luxurious yarn I got as a Christmas present that seemed just right for this project.
En ole ollut näin täpinässä neulekirjasta pitkään aikaan. (Juu, kyseessä on se "Knitting Socks With Handpainted Yarn").
This is how it looked like after finishing the chevron setup rows. I'm using dpns instead of two circs.
Tältä näytti kun chevron-aloituskerrokset oli neulottu. Minä en kahdella pyöröllä lähde kikkailemaan, vaan neulon viidellä sukkapuikolla.
The yarn I'm using - Posh Yarn Laura (80% merino, 20% cashmere) feels divine! And the first signs of the slightest pooling are appearing just now when I'm reaching the toe, so I'm happy. Final verdicts soon!
Lanka (Posh Yarn Laura (80% merino, 20% cashmere) on aivan ihanan tuntuista. Ja ensimmäiset hienoiset lätäköintymishavainnot ovat vasta ihan kärkikavennuksia ennen, mikä on erittäin positiivista. Lopulliset arviot piakkoin!

Ihanan kauniit sukat! Järkyttävän kaunista lankaa! Lisää huutomerkkejä!
I got the book but haven't made anything from it yet. Yours is turning out lovely!
Oi miten ihanaa lankaa! Noi värit, ah!! Ja näyttäis toimivan loistavasti tuossa sukkamallissa. Tykkään etenkin tuosta kantapäästä, kun kiilakavennuksetkin on sisällä mallissa eikä vain välttämätön paha. :)
I knitted these in December. I love the use of the short rows and the way it shows off the variegated yarn. Yours is very lovely.
Fun! I can't wait to see all that you create with this book!
I also bought the book and wish I had read your post before beginning on the socks with the circulars, Iwoud have doneit on the dps, too. I wanted to challenge myself and boy, did I succeed! It may take me the whole pair just to get the hang of this different method. I love the way your sock turned out and can't wait to get a little farther on mine...
I see your works from few time, they are beautiful. I started knitting few months ago and I hope to become half, of how you are!!
Kisses from Italy.Betty Boop
I hadn't thought really about buying this book, but your socks have convinced me it will be good -- the socks look great! (I'm tired of the pooling look ....)
