Lace Ribbon Scarf

lace ribbon scarf FO

pattern: Lace Ribbon Scarf by Veronik Avery from Knitty, Spring 2008
yarn: Wollmeise 80/20 Twin in Rittersporn, 1 skein (about 150g)
needles: 3,75mm Addi lace circs

lace ribbon scarf 2

comments: Nice and easy. I didn't change anything in the pattern, but can't remember how many repeats I worked. I used up all of the 150g Wollmeise skein. After blocking the scarf measures about 25cm x 200cm.

kommentit: Helppo ja joutuisa mallineule. Tein huivin ihan ohjeen mukaan, en muista montako mallikertaa, neuloin koko 150g:n vyyhdin loppuun. Pingotuksen jälkeen huivin mitoiksi tuli noin 25cm x 200cm.

I got some Rowan fabrics from Colourway - they are clearing the patchwork prints stock and they are selling everything 40% off! (Minimum order is 1 Metre (or 4 quarters).
The fabrics in the picture below are (clockwise from top left): Spools Lavender, Kashmir Grey and Fan flower red (my favorite)

Nappasin Colourwayn kangasloppuunmyynnistä Rowanin kankaita 40% halvemmalla! (Minimiostos on 1 metri)...
Kuvan kankaat ovat (ylävasemmalta alkaen): Spools Lavender, Kashmir Grey and Fan flower red (oma suosikkini)

All very nice stuff, but the best part of my week was this:
Portishead! Live! In Porto! Amazing!

Kiva huivi ja hienoja kankaita, mutta viikon voittaja on kuitenkin tämä:
Portisheadin konsertti Portossa! Uskomaton!

Lovely! I just read about that pattern yesterday on Veronik's blog so it is fun to see it knit up, and in Wollmeise! Wow!

anna: hold your horses! I think the cd is only coming out in the end of April... or at least I think that was the date they had in the flyers they were distributing before the concert.

That is a lovely scarf! That pattern hadn't actually caught my eye, but after seeing yours, I may have to try it!

Kylläpä huivi käykin superhyvin yhteen takin kanssa. Ja oih, voiko teillä käyttää (jo?) tuollaisia keväisen oloisia takkeja?

Kankaat ovta tosi kivoja. Tsekkasin ne jo eilen illalla pikaisesti ja taisin nähdä niistä unta. :)

Ooo, Portishead. I didn't know they're on tour. Hopefully they'll come to Canada.

Very pretty scarf. I love that pattern!

A lovely color on your lace ribbon. I´m knitting one myself but I think it´s boring to make the same pattern on and on...
