Fire walk with me

I'm not on blogging strike or anything, I just haven't had time to blog. And I have a new pair of socks I've been wanting to show you!

kaffe fassett fire socks FO

pattern: -
yarn: Regia Design Line Kaffe Fassett 4259 - fire, 2x50g skeins
needles: 2mm addi dpns

comments: I casted on 64 stitches, then decreased to 60 sts as I like a snug fit. First I tried a short row heel but it was too tight. Then opted for a heel flap. Love these, especially the colours!

kommentit: Aloitin sukat 64 silmukalla, resorin jälkeen kavensin 60:een. Yritin ensin tiimalasikantapäällä, mutta tuntui liian tiukalta. Vanha kunnon (ranskalainen) lappukantapää toimii mainiosti. Tykkään kovasti, varsinkin väreistä!

Breaking the curse

jasper set

pattern: Kim's Hats by Kim Hamlin from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts
yarn: Handpaintedyarn Ejido 160, Colourway Jasper, 100g
needles: 4,5mm dpns

pattern: Mitered Mittens (May) by Elizabeth Zimmermann from Knitter's Almanac
yarn: Handpaintedyarn Ejido 160, Jasper, 100g
needles: 4,5mm dpns

comments: I've had this yarn for ages and I swear I honestly thought it was cursed. I had casted on and ripped the first skein so many times it had almost felted. The pooling was always hideous. And then, all of the sudden, I remembered the yarn and decided to give it the last chance. No pooling this time! I quite like this set (it's a gift for my mom, I don't need warm winter acessories here). The Mitered mittens are especially clever. Elizabeth Z rules!

Lapasten malli on erityisen nokkela. Elisabeth Z osasi hommat!

Wollmeise blues
No need for words here. Wollmeise blues make me happy.

Sukat ovat ihanat, kolahtaa ja osuu. Ihania sukkalankoja myös, näyttävät herkullisilta.

Tantas coisas lindas!

Encore bravo!!!
I really enjoy your colored socks!
I nearly would like the weather to get cold so that I could wear them...
I wrote about your blog in my own blog and picked 2 pictures of your socks to show and suggest to come and visit 100% pura lana
Congratulations!!!
